- Stihl Ignition Module Air Gap. . . - Arborist, Chainsaw Tree Work Forum
Here's the problem, the stihl setting gage seems to set the air gap too tight, like 0 004" measured between the ignition module arms and the flywheel magnets using a feeler gage set It seems as though the center coil pick up on the ignition module has a wider air gap Now my question, what is the proper way to measure an ignition module air gap?
- Spark Plug gap on a 454 with Edelbrock 35830 EFI, 1971. . .
Hello All, Just looking to see what I should gap spark plugs to with a 454 using an Edelbrock 35830 EFI kit? I read 0 32-0 45, I'm leaning towards the high side Thoughts? Thanks, Tom
- AC Delco R45TS gap out of the box - Team Chevelle
It's SOP to inspect gap new spark plugs to your desired gap before installing them They could have been dropped, thereby changing the gap, etc NEVER assume they are gapped correctly out of the box How does the manufacturer know what YOU are going to gap them at?
- piston ring end gap - Team Chevelle
What is your opinion on checking the end gap on the rings I you order a set for a lets say a 350 bored 030 over should they be perfect? when I checked the end gap on my set of perfect circle rings they were tight enough that the filler gauge (setting for a street car) didnt go through the
- Spark plug gap Pertronix Ignitor - Team Chevelle
The plug gap does, as it's the item with the gap under high pressure The coil just supplies electrical energy at the voltage level that will cause the plug to arc Think of the plug gap as a pressure relief valve 2) The big kV numbers mentioned by coil advertisers is the dielectric insulation capability of the coil's mechanical construction
- Using an Edelbrock Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap on a 67
Edelbrock I believe has a Performer air gap manifold, and a Performer RPM air gap The difference being the regular performer is 1,000 - 5,500 and the RPM is 1,500 - 6,500 rpm range
- BBC Intakes ---AFR 4910 vs Edelbrock RPM Air Gap - Team Chevelle
I decided to a buy the AFR 4910 intake for my 502BBC with 265 AFR heads AFR advertises the 4910 as the ultimate out of box match for their oval heads For the record here are some of the measurements compared to an Edelbrock RPM Air gap 7516: AFR 4910 Intake, port height --- 1 94" RPM Air
- Best carburetor options for an edelbrock rpm air gap intake?
So if I went with an edelbrock rpm air gap intake and used the same carb I have now Should I expect to tune the carb differently? Taking the hooker exhaust manifolds into consideration Also might be a dumb question but I would assume I would have enough hood clearance for the rpm air gap intake?
